The RoleWe are looking for a skilled, reliable
Welder / Fabricator to join our growing on-site and workshop team. You will support our structural renovation, property maintenance, and light engineering projects across Auckland.This role requires versatility, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to work safely alongside other trades (builders, plumbers, and electricians) under our structured project management workflows.
Tasks Include:- Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality MIG, TIG, and ARC welding on various materials (principally structural steel, lintels, brackets, and general fabrications) according to project specifications.
- On-Site Alterations & Maintenance: Assist with on-site welding for structural steel modifications, cladding repairs, and commercial/residential property maintenance.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and layouts to ensure precision fabrication.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished welds and structures to ensure they meet structural integrity requirements and high-quality finishes.
- Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA) and company safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For (Minimum Requirements)To ensure compliance with local delivery standards and visa validation frameworks, applicants must have:
- Experience/Qualification: A minimum of 3 years of proven, verifiable work experience as a Welder/Fabricator OR a relevant New Zealand Level 4 trade qualification (or equivalent overseas qualification).
- Skills: Competency in reading structural drawings and operating standard workshop machinery/tools safely.
- Driver’s Licence: A current, clean Full Driver’s Licence is preferred to travel between Auckland sites.
- Attributes: Strong work ethic, reliable time management, and excellent communication skills to coordinate with project managers.
