Job Description:

We are looking for a Kafka Platform Engineer with at least 6+ years of IT experience. *Open to any domain.

We are looking for a Kafka platform engineer with strong, hands-on experience supporting Kafka in production.

We are looking for someone who can own the Kafka platform end to end, support engineering teams, and keep the environment stable, observable, and scalable.

• For this role, hands-on multi-region Kafka experience and the ability to independently own and lead the platform is important.

This role is focused on operating and supporting our Kafka ecosystem, which includes:

Amazon MSK as the managed Kafka service

Kafka Connect (including source/sink connectors)

Schema Registry

Lenses for operational monitoring, analysis, auditing, alerting, and Kafka SQL

Integration across AWS and on-prem data center applications

Event-driven, microservices-based architecture

Key requirements:

Hands-on experience supporting managed Kafka (MSK or Confluent) in production

Experience With Multi-region Or Highly Available Kafka Architectures

Strong understanding of Kafka Connect, connector lifecycle, and troubleshooting

Experience With Schema Management And Compatibility (Schema Registry)

Operating Kafka as a platform, not just producing/consuming messages

Proactive monitoring, alerting, and observability (Lenses or similar tools)

Understanding of security, ACLs, authentication, and authorization

Supporting event-driven architectures and real-time data integration

Comfortable working with Kubernetes-based Kafka components where applicable
