Farm Worker

Begin date: 5/8/2026 Full Time: Yes Number of Workers Requested: 8 Job Duties: Drive and control farm equipment and attached farm implements to plant, irrigate, cultivate and harvest trees. Adjust, inspect, repair and service farm machinery. Specifically, they will set up and operate irrigation equipment, operate mowers, fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest trees. They will repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to trees; clear and maintain irrigation ditches; and report to farm owners/ managers as needed. Manipulate controls to set, activate operations to detect equipment malfunctions. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust and spray crops. Using hand sprayers, spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases. Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Irrigate soil using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches, pipes and pumps. Job Classification: 45-2091.00 - Agricultural Equipment Operators Experience Required: No Special Requirements: Due to the operation of machinery and vehicles, drug testing may be conducted post-hire at the employer's expense. All workers may be subject to mandatory testing if they have been involved in a reportable accident or upon reasonable suspicion that drug use is impacting job performance. Criminal background checks are conducted post-hire at the employer's expense and will require a history of DWI's or DUI's since the workers are operating vehicles and machinery. These screenings are part of the employers safety and compliance protocols and apply equally to all employees, including H-2A workers. Compliance with these procedures is a condition of continued employment. Number of Hours Per Week: 40 Work Schedule (Start/End time): 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
