The Department of Society and Politics, a constituent part of the School of Law and Social Sciences at Aston University, is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Associate in Politics and International Relations, to contribute to the delivery of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Some key responsibilities are listed below:
  • Deliver high-quality, innovative teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with a focus in particular, though not exclusively on International Relations Theory, Security Studies and Comparative Politics and Government
  • Provide a positive and supportive learning experience for students in the classroom
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports student success, employability and professional skills development


Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience of designing, developing and delivering module teaching in the broad disciplinary area of Politics and International Relations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a friendly academic team within a growing School of Law and Social Sciences, with a strong commitment to applied learning.
