This is a full-time position commencing 1 February 2026 for 12 months with possible extension. Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focussed on the delivery of high quality, effective, person-centred care. Medical Staff in the Canberra Health Services enjoy excellent conditions, and our Enterprise Agreement is available at: ACTPS Medical Practitioners Enterprise Agreement 2023 – 2026 North Canberra Hospital (formerly Calvary Public Hospital Bruce) and Clare Holland House are now run and operated by Canberra Health Services (CHS). This is a significant milestone as the ACT Government is moving towards delivering a new hospital on Canberra’s Northside. The new Northside Hospital will be built on the existing North Canberra Hospital (NCH) campus in Bruce. It will be a modern, state-of-the-art hospital for patients, visitors and its workforce and will provide more beds and increased services. Until then, it's business as usual at NCH, and we'll keep providing high-quality care to our patients and community. HITH NCH is a multidisciplinary inpatient unit providing acute medical care for patients in their own homes. It is a progressive unit known for its multidisciplinary approach and will give trainees exposure to a rapidly expanding service model for inpatients with acute illnesses, not requiring treatment based in a hospital ward. Whether you are interested in general medicine, general practice, emergency medicine, geriatric medicine or infectious diseases, this position provides excellent broad experience in acute medicine and management of chronic comorbidities. As an unaccredited registrar, you will work as part of the HITH multi-disciplinary team assisting consultants with clinical management of patients, applying medical knowledge and experience in the clinical diagnosis, investigation, treatment, ongoing management and appropriate discharge of patients.
