• Lead the architecture, deployment, and ongoing management of VMware virtualization environments, including ESXi hosts and vSphere clusters.
• Design and implement system solutions that integrate VMware with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, ensuring seamless hybrid cloud operations.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline system provisioning, configuration management, and troubleshooting processes.
• Conduct system troubleshooting and performance tuning for virtualized environments, resolving issues related to storage, networking, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable enterprise solutions utilizing virtualization best practices, including load balancing, disaster recovery, and security hardening.
• Implement security protocols such as network segmentation, firewall configurations, VPNs, and system hardening measures to safeguard virtual environments against vulnerabilities.
• Manage version control systems like Git for configuration management and ensure adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards during system development and updates.
• Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for application development involving container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support for complex issues involving operating systems (Windows/Linux), database systems (SQL/NoSQL), and network configurations including DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and firewalls.

Experience

• Extensive experience in systems engineering with a focus on virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi and vSphere.
• Proven track record in designing enterprise solutions that incorporate service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture principles, and system integration techniques.
• Strong background in IT infrastructure management including server administration, network configuration, storage solutions, and cloud security practices.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks; familiarity with version control tools like Git is preferred.
• Knowledge of containerization platforms like Kubernetes combined with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
• Familiarity with database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases like Cassandra or MongoDB is advantageous.
• Ability to perform vulnerability assessments and implement threat intelligence measures to ensure robust information security across all systems.
• Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced environments; experience working within Agile methodologies is a plus.
