Job Description:
Cardrona Alpine Resort is renowned for providing exceptional experiences for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. To uphold these standards, we are currently seeking a Qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our team.As a Diesel Mechanic at Cardrona Alpine Resort, you will play a vital role in the maintenance of our grooming fleet and vehicles. Reporting to the Lead Diesel Mechanic, this position offers a year-round, permanent opportunity to contribute to our commitment to excellence in guest service. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting maintenance on grooming machines, particularly Kassbohrer and Prinoth models.
  • Performing maintenance tasks on ski area vehicles, facilities, and plant (experience preferred but not necessary).
  • Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and hydrostatic drive systems.
  • Diagnosing and repairing 12V & 24V electrical systems, including CAN bus communication systems.
  • Executing planned maintenance systems, conduct oil sampling & analysis.

What do we need from you?
  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic or trade qualification in mechanical or engineering field.
  • Experience with maintenance aspects of Kassbohrer or Prinoth grooming machines.
  • Familiarity with hydraulics & hydrostatic drive systems.
  • A current class 1 driver's license (W, T & R endorsements and Class 2 preferred but not necessary).
  • Proficiency in entering maintenance documentation into Excel and Word (familiarity with Snowsat system is advantageous).
  • Welding and fabrication skills are desirable.
