At Colonnades Tavern, we have a beautifully renovated bar and bistro area (5th Quarter) along with our always popular gaming room and bottle shop. We are part of a larger, family-owned business with 15 venues here in South Australia which provides great opportunities for staff to learn and progress within their roles.Colonnades has a small, close-knit team who are passionate about creating an unforgettable experience.As Head Chef, you will be responsible for;
- Presenting consistently high-quality meals
- Writing and costing menus for a la carte service and functions
- Supervising, training and directing kitchen team members
- Working with the FOH team to deliver a great customer experience
- Maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and overseeing hygienic food practices
- Rostering of staff
- Kitchen stock takes and resolving discrepancies
To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills or experience;
- Experience in a Head Chef role within a similar venue
- Excellent track record with training and supervising a small team
- Understanding of Australian pub fare as well as well-known American favourites
- Ability to create and follow standard recipes
- Prepare and present a high standard of food at all times
- Proven track record in rostering staff to achieve agreed wage costs
- Ability to work across a 7-day roster
