Key responsibilities · Assist clients with personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, dietary support, facilitating personal hygiene needs and mobility assistance. · Supporting clients in maintaining their independence, dignity and comfort. · Accurately document care activities, observations and client welfare, ensure all information is updated in a timely manger. · Ensure that the environment remains clean, hygienic and safe for clients by adhering to infection control protocols. · Follow best practices in hand hygiene and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage, ensuring that cross-infection risks are minimised. · Communicate effectively with clients, their families and other healthcare professionals to ensure the client needs are met. · Attend meetings, training and supervision sessions to ensure continuous professional development. · Adhere to all healthcare regulations including Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, and company policies related to client care and safety. · Own and maintain a roadworthy vehicle that meets all safety and legal requirements, ensuring it is in good condition for carrying out client visits. · Be able to travel to multiple client locations efficiently, ensuring punctuality and reliability. Qualification(s) Ø Working towards or hold a level 2 or 3 diploma in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification. Desirable. Ø Hold a valid and up-to-date full driving license. Essential. Experience Ø Experience in a health care setting preferred. Ø Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards, including CQC requirements, is desirable.
