With more than 700 employees across five states, we've built our business on reliability, safety, and operational excellence.Due to continued growth throughout Queensland, we're seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to lead our QLD operations and play a key role in driving performance, service delivery, and team development across multiple client sites.This is an exciting opportunity for a practical leader who enjoys being close to the operation, working with people, and making decisions that directly influence business outcomes.The OpportunityBased in Hemmant, you'll oversee the day-to-day delivery of container unloading services across several customer locations, including fast-paced logistics and cold-storage environments.Leading a team of Area Managers and operational support staff, you'll be responsible for ensuring more than 150 frontline employees are effectively managed, resourced, and supported to consistently meet customer expectations.You'll work closely with clients, recruitment teams, and senior leadership, serving as the key operational leader for Queensland.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
  • Lead daily operational activities across the Queensland branch.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to Area Managers and administration staff.
  • Conduct regular site visits to maintain service quality and client engagement.
  • Ensure operational targets including MPS, SLA, DIFOT, and OTP are consistently achieved.
  • Drive efficiency, productivity, and service delivery standards across all sites.

Workforce Planning & Performance
  • Work alongside recruitment teams to maintain adequate labour coverage.
  • Oversee workforce planning, onboarding, training, and inductions.
  • Monitor team performance and implement operational improvements where required.
  • Ensure sites remain appropriately staffed to meet changing customer demands.

Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary operational contact for Queensland-based customers.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen and grow existing partnerships.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to support business objectives and long-term growth.

Compliance & Reporting
  • Prepare and present monthly operational and KPI reports.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation within the Business Management System (BMS).
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Promote and champion a strong safety-first culture throughout the branch.

Leadership & Culture
  • Lead, develop, and support the wider operations team.
  • Drive accountability and high performance across all levels of the business.
  • Support succession planning and employee development initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, engaged, and results-focused team environment.

About YouYou're a confident and proactive leader who enjoys solving problems, making decisions, and leading from the front.Ideally, you will have:
  • Experience within logistics, container operations, warehousing, transport, or labour hire environments.
  • A strong background managing operational teams and service delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience leading both frontline employees and leadership teams.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and safety-focused workplaces.
  • Experience using workforce scheduling, operational, or business management systems.

Highly Regarded
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety.
  • Current Forklift Licence.
  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field.
