Our AI and Data team helps apply cutting edge technology and techniques to bring solutions to our clients. As part of that, you'll sit side-by-side with clients and diverse teams from EY and we'll look to you to provide our clients with a unique business perspective on how they must continue to innovate and remain competitive in this ever-changing industry. We are seeking individuals with significant client-side and people management experience, who have gained project and technology delivery experience within large recognised organisations.
By joining the Technology Consulting team, you will be helping our clients solve a wide range of challenges - from the requirement to respond to the ever-changing demands of the market, to overseeing large and complex technical transformation projects/programmes that truly transform our clients ways of working, As part of this growing team, you will also get to help shape the innovative culture that makes EY such a great place to work.
Your key responsibilities- Support our clients in defining and implementing a data journey aligned with their strategic objectives.
- Create solution designs and estimates for complexity, effort and costs.
- Participate in presentations and proposals for medium and highly complex projects.
- Create high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource for Data architecture, leveraging knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems.
- Design, develop and implement data strategy, data collection, transformation, data integration and data analytics solutions.
- Providing expertise and support across the enterprise information framework, including data intake, data transformation, data quality, metadata and master data management, data virtualisation, data governance, data lineage, data services, data security and data lakes.
- Lead technology consulting engagements, solution workshops and due diligence.
- Work closely with Solution Architects to help domains with data modelling understand the fundamental concepts of master systems of record.
- As a senior team member, shape and manage engagement teams as required.
- Drive business development through the winning of new clients.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have:- Proven experience as a Data Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role in a consulting environment.
- Comprehensive experience in developing and maintaining enterprise data models for analytics using dimensional, star, snowflake or data vault methodologies.
- Proficient in implementing and maintaining Master and Reference Data Management to ensure data accuracy and integrity across the organisation.
- Comprehensive expertise in programming languages and tools for data preparation, analysis and reporting.
- At least 1 year of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership.
- Excellent understanding of:
- Data wrangling and standard data cleansing, in different formats, including CSVs and structured tables.
- Microsoft BI toolset, including O365 tools and Power Platform (Powerapps/Powerautomate/PowerBI)
- Azure cloud ETL toolset, including Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Datalake
- Cloud infrastructure including Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure, Identity & Access Management, data stores connections, cloud functions concepts
- Familiar with Big Data infrastructures, including file-based and in-memory big data platforms.
- Excellent understanding of cloud architectures, including data , security, platforms as a service, data privacy models.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including ability to convey designs and solutions to both technical and business audiences.
- Strong adherence to data governance policies including security, architecture, data quality and data retention.
- Proven experience in managing the data lifecycle from various data sources to delivering reports and visualisation to end-users.
- Experience in working in Agile development environments.
Ideally, you will also have:- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, or related field.
- Participation in the opensource community.
- Exposure to automation or digital transformation.
- Expert level certification in MS Azure, AWS Cloud or Google Cloud, data engineering or similar track.
