Chef – Gather & Co South West in partnership with South West Allied Therapies (Bunbury, WA) Gather & Co South West is a café that celebrates community, creativity, and inclusion. We are striving to push the boundaries of café cuisine in Bunbury, so we are looking for a passionate chef to join our team; someone who is excited to learn techniques, contribute ideas, and prepare high-quality house made food. The Role As a Chef, you’ll be working alongside our Head Chef and Sous Chef, helping to shape and deliver a menu that reflects seasonal, local ingredients and modern Australian flavours. You’ll lead by example in the kitchen, ensuring quality, consistency, and creativity in every dish. Key Responsibilities Support the Head Chef in daily operations and menu development. Maintain high standards of professionalism, dish presentation, and food hygiene and safety. Mentor and train junior staff, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Communicate with Front of House staff to ensure smooth operations. Step up to lead the kitchen when required. What We’re Looking For
Cert III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Previous experience in a similar role.
Passion and enthusiasm for fresh, local ingredients and sustainable practices.
Strong leadership and communication skills. Salary & Award
This casual position will offer rates in line with current Restaurant Awards, dependant on experience.
Penalty rates apply for weekends, public holidays, and overtime in line with Fair Work standards. What We Offer
