About the opportunity We are currently seeking applications from highly motivated people who would like to join our Midwifery teams at Werribee Mercy Hospital (WMH) or Mercy Hospital for Women as a Rotational / Pool Registered Midwife. Across our two hospitals we have specialist maternity units including Postnatal / Antenatal wards, Birth Suites, Fetal Monitoring Units and Special Care Nurseries. By joining Mercy Health will join a multidisciplinary team providing best practice patient care as a as a permanent staff member.

- Working across Birth suites and Antenatal / Post Natal wards as well as the specialties if you have appropriate experience.

- Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife Division 1
- Minimum 12 months recent acute hospital experience
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent clinical skill base and critical thinking skills
- A high level of adaptability enabling you to work across various ward environments, this role will require you to be allocated to different clinical settings on a daily basis or for longer periods as needed.
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
- A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
