THE OPPORTUNITY Recruitment Labs has been retained to partner with an exceptional five-star luxury hotel in Auckland, part of a globally recognised premium hospitality brand with an international footprint.
This is a flagship property: multi-faceted, highly visible in-market, and designed to attract premium leisure, corporate, and VIP guests, with a full suite of facilities, including multiple food & beverage venues and extensive function/event capabilities.
You’ll step into a true 2IC role, working hand in hand with the GM while owning the full financial stewardship of the hotel, strengthening controls and disciplines, and continuing to elevate the finance function as a strategic commercial partner to the business. Alongside Finance, you’ll also lead the IT/IS function, ensuring systems are secure, optimised, and enabling operational excellence.
ROLE PROFILE - Lead end-to-end hotel finance: statutory and management reporting, budgeting/forecasting, cashflow, capital planning, payroll compliance and audit readiness
- Strengthen governance and internal controls, safeguarding hotel assets and ensuring disciplined balance sheet ownership (including fixed assets and inventory)
- Oversee tax, compliance, key licences, contracts and insurances, coordinating with external advisors and auditors as required
- Lead IT/IS to ensure hotel systems are fully utilised, protected and continuously improved
- Provide visible leadership: develop a high-performing team, uplift capability, and drive a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvement
