Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to work on various projects including residential and commercial builds. This role requires proficiency in using power tools, performing joinery, and executing tasks related to roofing and masonry. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Perform joinery tasks including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
- Use power tools effectively and safely for various carpentry tasks.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials accurately.
- Conduct heavy lifting as necessary for transporting materials and assembling structures.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times.
Experience- Experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to carpentry work.
- Ability to plumb structures accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Capability of working independently as well as part of a team on various projects.
