Exterior Plasterer – Full Time Location: Queenstown, Otago About the role Art Ceramic Tile Ltd is a tiling company based in Queenstown, and we are currently seeking Experienced Tilers to join our team in Queenstown – Otago. This is a full-time position offering stable ongoing work across residential and commercial construction projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality exterior plastering and cladding finishes in accordance with project specifications and company standards. Key tasks and responsibilities • Working primarily with Specialized Plaster Cladding Systems, or experience in similar exterior plaster or cladding systems also considered beneficial • Installation of exterior cladding systems • Application of exterior plaster coatings and finishing systems to a high standard • Preparation of surfaces including cleaning, masking and minor repairs • Assisting with exterior painting. • Maintaining strong quality control standards • Ensuring site cleanliness and safe working practices • Working independently and effectively within a team environment • Fixing and installing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings and other plaster fittings as required • Mixing, preparing and applying plaster, cement and rendering materials using appropriate tools and techniques to achieve consistent finishes • Preparing substrates by removing loose or deteriorated material and applying bonding agents prior to plaster application • Setting out and ensuring corners, angles, walls and soffit surfaces are plumb and straight • Creating decorative or textured finishes in final coats where specified • Repairing and patching damaged or deteriorated plaster and cement surfaces Minimum requirements • Minimum 2 years proven experience in exterior plastering or similar construction work • Demonstrated practical experience in exterior plastering and cladding work, including experience installing exterior cladding systems on residential or commercial projects • Experience delivering high-quality plaster finishes using recognised plastering or rendering systems • Experience preparing work areas and surfaces including cleaning, masking and minor remedial work • Experience maintaining strong workmanship standards and attention to detail • Experience following safe working practices and contributing to site organisation and cleanliness • Experience working independently while also contributing positively within a team environment • Strong ability to adapt to varying project requirements and site conditions • Reliable, punctual and professional attitude Pay and hours • Pay rate: $35 – $40 per hour depending on skills and experience • Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week • Ongoing projects may provide the opportunity to work additional hours What we offer Art Tile provides a supportive and professional working environment with consistent workflow and opportunities to develop skills within the exterior finishing sector.
