Responsibilities:• Prepare and review income tax returns for companies, trusts and partnerships• Manage BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, and payroll tax lodgements in compliance with ATO requirements.• Handle ABN, TFN, and entity registrations, ensuring all statutory obligations are met.• Conduct tax planning and advisory for clients across various industries, focusing on business structuring, acquisitions, and mergers.• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports in accordance with Australian accounting standards.• Provide guidance on trust accounting, distribution resolutions, and beneficiary tax implications.• Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on client matters including audits, amendments, and queries.• Support clients with business setup, restructuring, and due diligence during corporate transactions.• Work closely with partners and senior accountants to deliver tailored solutions and maintain strong client relationships.
Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; CA/CPA qualification preferred• Minimum 2–4 years of professional experience in taxation or business services within multi-partner public practice.• Solid understanding of Australian tax law, trust and company compliance, and corporate restructuring.• Experience preparing company and trust tax returns, BAS, and financial statements.• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and HandiTax.• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
