We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vegetable Grower to join our busy and hardworking team. Duties and Responsibilities: As a Vegetable Grower, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading hands-on operational activities in various aspects of crop cultivation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing and leading the operational activities for sowing, planting, spraying, irrigating, fertigation, harvesting, and record-keeping.
• Participating in crop rotation planning programs.
• Leading and supervising farm hands daily to ensure smooth farm operations.
• Performing routine farm tasks such as pruning and de-budding for tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, baby eggplants, chilies, and capsicums.
• Leading soil preparation activities and the establishment and planting of new crops.
• Working to improve crop yield through better farming methods and developing new plant strains.
• Monitoring crop growth rates and reporting any anomalies to farm management.
• Pest control, spraying chemicals, and participating in crop rotation programs.
• Planning, directing, and coordinating worker activities related to crop lifecycle, including planting, weed pulling, irrigation, fertigation, harvesting, grading, and record-keeping.
• Monitoring plant water uses and adjusting water levels as required.
• Evaluating crop quality and reporting on plant health to farm management.
• Developing new or improved crop varieties focusing on yield, quality, disease resistance, and adaptability to soil or climate conditions.
• Determining the timing of crop harvests and leading the harvesting process, including organizing the packing of products for transport to markets.

Skills and Experience Required:

• At least three years of experience as a Vegetable Grower
• In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of crop care techniques, suitability of different crops to various soil types, climate conditions, irrigation, and fertigation needs.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively direct and coordinate farm hands while reporting essential information to farm management.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as suppliers and contractors.
• Fluency in Vietnamese is an advantage.
• Experience in farm operations, particularly in medium to large-scale horticultural enterprises.
• Hands-on experience in vegetable crop production is essential, with hydroponic farming experience preferred.
