Sea Lake Operations in north-west Victoria are currently seeking a qualified
Maintenance Fitter to join our dynamic Maintenance team. Sea Lake is a town in the Mallee district of north-west Victoria and is situated along the southern shores of the beautiful Lake Tyrell. The town is located 351kms north-west of Melbourne, and 70kms west of Swan Hill, in the heart of Australia's wheat belt and part of the beautiful silo trail.

The RoleReporting directly to the Maintenance Coordinator your key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the safety of all that is impacted by maintenance activity.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Attend breakdowns of plant and production equipment, identifying root cause and countermeasures to eliminate recurring issues.
- Completion of required work permits and safety procedures.
- Carry out plant and equipment installation, repair, modification, and construction as required.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- A current driver's licence and have own transport to get to work as there is no public transport available.
About youYou will bring the following skills, experience, and attributes to the role:
- Relevant Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter Fabricator or Fitter Machinist
- A proactive and positive attitude, with strong work ethic
- Proven history in Fitting & Turning, Mechanical, Plumbing and Carpentry work
- Solid repair or fabrication experience with conveying, crushing or liquid pumping advantageous
- Forklift, EWP, Disconnect - Reconnect Electrical Licence & Confined Space Licence preferred.
- Experience in mechanical maintenance, and problem solving & repairs
- Motivated to drive your own success as an individual in a challenging role
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, & background checks, including police check
- Current Forklift, Excavator and Heavy Rigid Licences
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
