Founding Engineer, joining a small, high-caliber founding engineering team at a pivotal moment in the company's growth. This isn't a conventional senior engineer role. You'll have genuine co-builder status, real equity, and a direct line to the founding team.Our client recently closed their Series B and is scaling fast out of
Midtown Manhattan. They're ready to move quickly for the right person, including
full visa sponsorship (H-1B, O-1, and more) and a
comprehensive relocation package for candidates moving to New York.The RoleYou'll join a tight-knit founding engineering team at a growing fintech company and take meaningful ownership over core systems. Your decisions will shape the stack and product roadmap alongside fellow founding engineers, in a high-autonomy environment where your voice carries real weight.
- Architect and contribute to the full technical stack, covering cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), back-end services, and front-end experience
- Design and scale RESTful APIs, microservices, and SOA systems built to grow with a Series B trajectory
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins for fast, reliable deployments
- Craft front-end interfaces with React or Angular, balancing performance with exceptional UX
- Drive database strategy across relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) systems
- Help shape engineering culture, hiring standards, and best practices as the broader team scales
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of full-stack development with strong command of JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular) and back-end languages (.NET, Python, or Java)
- Deep experience with cloud architecture on AWS or Azure and containerization via Docker/Kubernetes
- A background shipping products end-to-end, ideally in an early-stage or fast-scaling environment
- Prior experience in fintech or financial services is a plus but not required
- Strong fundamentals in system design, Agile methodology, and security best practices

Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:
