Consultant Medical Oncologist | Regional Cancer Service | Queensland
The Opportunity We are working closely with a well-established regional health service in Queensland and are keen to connect with FRACP-qualified Medical Oncologists interested in full-time opportunities within a growing and well-supported Oncology department.
The service delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical oncology care, including chemotherapy supervision and multidisciplinary tumour board participation. Consultants manage a broad solid tumour caseload while contributing to service development within a structured regional referral framework.
This opportunity will appeal to Oncologists seeking clinical breadth, autonomy and the ability to have genuine impact within a regional community.
The Hospital & Cancer Services
This is a major regional referral hospital providing acute and sub-acute care to a large coastal and rural catchment.
The Oncology service includes:
- Dedicated chemotherapy day unit
- Inpatient oncology support
- Multidisciplinary tumour board framework
- Close collaboration with Surgery, Haematology, Palliative Care and ICU
- Structured referral pathways to tertiary centres for highly specialised therapies

Requirements - Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) – Medical Oncology
- Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
- International Medical Graduates assessed by RACP as partially or substantially comparable
