PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE TECHNICIAN Position Overview:Primec is seeking a skilled Safety Relief Valve Technician to join our team. We are seeking a qualified candidate who will primarily work within the United States. While your employment will be through our Canadian entity, the role will be U.S focused. The ideal candidate will have expertise in inspecting, testing, and maintaining safety valves to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. This position involves working with a variety of pressure relief valves in different industry settings. Key Responsibilities:● Performs pressure relief valve repair in accordance with Primec’s National Board Inspection Code approved quality manual.● Thoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairs.● Operate equipment, including forklift, sandblaster, parts washer, propylene torch, etc.● Disassemble valves without damaging parts per the manufacturer’s Installation & Operation manual.● Document and enter job data into the database, including photograph documentation.● Coordinate with office personnel on repair requirements.● Maintain equipment in the area, as required.● Perform cleaning, blasting, and painting of valve components.● Return Valves/Parts to proper bins, boxes, etc.● Assemble, calibrate, tag and certify valves per manufacturer’s repair manuals.● May be required to assist in field assignments.● May be required to climb and work at various elevations depending on job scope.● Operate motor vehicles, as required.● Attending job and safety training, as necessary or required. Education and Experience:● High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical certificates a plus.● Solid working knowledge of the ASME and NBIC codes a plus.
