The RoleDepending on your experience, you may work across installation, service, inspection, testing and maintenance of passive and active fire protection systems.Projects range from commercial buildings and hospitals through to industrial facilities, government infrastructure, mining operations and large construction projects.Your duties may include:
- Installation of fire sprinkler systems
- Installation and maintenance of hydrants and hose reels
- Testing and servicing fire pumps
- Inspection and maintenance of fire protection equipment
- Routine testing to Australian Standards
- Fault finding and repairs
- Reading plans and technical drawings
- Preparing inspection reports and service documentation
- Working closely with customers and site managers
- Maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
What We're Looking ForYou may be a qualified:
- Fire Protection Plumber
- Fire Sprinkler Fitter
- Fire Protection Equipment Technician
- Fire Service Technician
- Fire Systems Technician
Applicants should have:
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in the role
- Trade qualification relevant to fire protection or plumbing
- Experience installing and/or servicing fire protection systems
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of fire protection standards and compliance requirements
- Excellent attention to detail
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Good written and spoken English
- Current driver's licence (preferred)
- Willingness to relocate to Australia (for overseas applicants)
