Pay: A$76,515.00 per year Job description:Calling all Trade Waiters and Sommeliers!Imagine living (or maybe you already do) on the north coast of NSW with Byron Bay or close surrounding areas the place you call home. We are looking for a Trade Waiter/Sommelier with an amazing attitude to join our team & deliver high quality service confidently & with flair! As a favourite destination for locals and visitors alike, we pride ourselves on the high quality food and beverages we offer whilst delivering exceptional customer service. The tasks of a Trade Waiter are:· setting and arranging tables;· taking reservations, greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage lists;· recommending dishes and wines to complement food;· taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff;· serving food and beverages;· clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen;· removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses; The tasks of a Sommelier are:· opening bottles and pouring beverages including mixing liquor and assisting in the cellar;· recommending wines to complement food;· create and manage the wine list, updating regularly in collaboration with the Head Chef;· ensure wines are served at the correct temperature, in appropriate glassware, and with proper etiquette;· Manage wine inventory and cellar, overseeing procurement, storage, and rotation of wine stock to maintain quality and availability;· Educate servers and bartenders on wine varieties, tasting notes, and service techniques to improve overall service quality;· organise wine tastings, "wine of the month" promotions, and educational events for guests and staff; Additional · Formal relevant qualifications and 12 months experience, or a minimum of 18 months - 2 years experience· Positive happy person to work alongside· Ability to build rapport with all customers especially locals· Ability to direct large numbers of guests smoothly & with a polite friendly manner· High functioning & quick thinking in a fast-past environment· Passion for providing a great customer experience· Previous cash handling experience· Complying with WHS systems & legislation· Comply with Ember’s policies and procedures.· Ensure role is carried out in line with safe work practices.· Results driven· Constantly seeking to improve venue offerings· Continually improving· Strong involvement in team building· Positive happy person to work alongside· Ability to build rapport with all customers especially locals· Provide a harassment, bullying and discrimination-free workplace.· High functioning & quick thinking in a fast-past environment· Passion for providing a great customer experience Qualifications RequireCertificate 3 in hospitality, or 18 months to 2 years experience in lieu of qualificationsYou must be in AustraliaTo apply for the role – send us your resume along with a cover letter about you and why you think you are the perfect fit for this position.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:
