The Opportunity
An opportunity is available for a Consultant Anaesthetist seeking a balanced and engaging role within a regional hospital network. This position offers the chance to combine broad clinical practice with a lifestyle defined by space, nature, and community.
You will work across general anaesthesia, peri-operative care, and pain management, supporting both adult and paediatric caseloads.
The Hospital
This is a well-established regional hospital of approximately 90–120 beds providing emergency, surgical, medical, and peri-operative services. The hospital supports a busy emergency department and a wide scope of regional care.
The anaesthetic department maintains strong links to teaching and training and offers a supportive environment for professional development.
The Location
The region offers fresh coastal air, green landscapes, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Life here feels grounded and scenic, with time to enjoy both work and life outside the hospital.

Requirements
Applicants will meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Hold or be eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
- Have at least 12 months recent experience working as an Anaesthetist
- Be on the ANZCA training program and approaching Fellowship
- Hold Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA)
- International Medical Graduates eligible for recognised ANZCA pathways, including Competent Authority jurisdictions
- International Medical Graduates with a confirmed ANZCA interview date
- International Medical Graduates already assessed by ANZCA and found to be substantially comparable
