Position: Group Manager – Operations (Front of House)
Location: Peak District, Derbyshire
Business: Okeover Hospitality Group (The Okeover Arms & New Inns)
Salary: Starting from £40,000+ per year depending on experience + bonus structure
Contract: Full-time | PermanentOkeover Hospitality Group operates a growing collection of hospitality venues across the Peak District, including the well-established Okeover Arms country pub. In Spring 2026, we are launching an exciting new restaurant, bar, and 32-bedroom hotel with a small wedding and events offering.We are seeking a Group Manager – Operations (Front of House) to provide strategic leadership across both existing and new venues. This role is responsible for overseeing all guest-facing operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, strong financial performance, and a consistent, high-quality customer experience across the group.This is a senior operational management role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness, and a passion for delivering outstanding hospitality. Key Responsibilities Front of House Operations Management
  • Lead and oversee all front of house operations across both venues
  • Ensure consistent service standards, guest experience, and brand delivery
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality
  • Support the successful launch and ongoing operation of the new restaurant, bar, and hotel

Financial & Commercial Performance
  • Manage departmental budgets, labour costs, and operational spend
  • Monitor revenue performance, upselling opportunities, and cost control measures
  • Analyse sales and service data to drive improvements in profitability and efficiency
  • Support business growth through effective operational planning and execution

Leadership & Team Development
  • Recruit, train, and develop front of house management teams across both sites
  • Build strong leadership structures within each venue
  • Drive staff performance, engagement, and retention
  • Promote a positive, professional, and customer-focused culture

Guest Experience & Service Standards
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered consistently across all areas
  • Oversee the full guest journey, including restaurant, bar, accommodation, and events
  • Handle escalated guest feedback and implement improvements where needed
  • Continuously review and enhance the overall guest experience

Events & Operational Coordination
  • Oversee the delivery of weddings, events, and group bookings
  • Ensure seamless coordination between front of house, kitchen, and events teams
  • Support the development and growth of the wedding and events offering at the new venue

Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure full compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and hospitality regulations
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and operational procedures
  • Implement and monitor policies to ensure consistency across all sites

RequirementsApplicants should demonstrate:
  • Significant experience in hospitality operations, with a strong front of house focus
  • Proven ability to manage multi-site operations or large, fast-paced venues
  • Strong financial understanding, including labour control and revenue management
  • Experience leading, developing, and motivating front of house teams
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of UK hospitality standards and service expectations

Desirable Experience
  • Background in high-volume pubs, restaurants, hotels, or event venues
  • Experience managing weddings, events, or accommodation-based operations
  • Proven track record of improving service standards and operational efficiency
  • Experience supporting new openings or business expansion
