Formwork Carpenter

Full-time (38 hours per week)T.U Construction group is a dedicated construction company providing professional building and contracting services. Our focus is on completing every project with reliability, efficiency, and attention to detail.Due to the current expansion of its business, T.U Construction Group needs highly experienced carpenters whose main responsibility would be as follows:· Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand and all material and construction requirements· Determine all materials needed for each job· Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed· Cut and shape building materials (e.g., fiberglass and steel) according to measurements· Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items· Lay out floorings, roofing or drywalls ensuring they are levelled and compatible· Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance· Build scaffolding and other construction structures· Assemble and fasten various materials to erect framework· Install structures and fixturesThe successful candidates will have:· At least 2 years previous experience as a carpenter· Certificate III in Carpentry· Must have a Construction Induction Card (White Card)· Carpentry work experience in building and construction is desirable.· Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction· Exceptional technical knowledge of carpentry work, general property maintenance and repairs issues· Ability to read technical documents and drawings· Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently· Broad carpentry skillset including civil works, form and concrete, steel frame welding, trusses, roofing, fencing and fit-off· Truck license, civil experience with machinery tickets will be an advantageTo apply, please send a one-page cover letter telling us about yourself, the reason you would suit this position and your available start date.
