MDM Architect job description requires designing, implementing, and managing mobile device management (MDM) solutions using the leading MDM providers like VMware Workspace ONE UEM (formerly AirWatch) and Microsoft Intune platforms.
Key responsibilities for this role include gathering requirements, architecting the solution, configuring policies and profiles, integrating with existing systems like Exchange and Active Directory, and providing technical support. Key skills include a deep understanding of the AirWatch platform, its components (e.g., console, mobile access gateway, secure email gateway), and a strong grasp of endpoint management and security best practices
Design and architecture: Design the overall AirWatch solution based on business and security requirements. This includes creating a detailed plan, mapping user workflows, and designing how the system will integrate with other infrastructure components like email servers, directory services, and authentication systems.
Good to have experience in design and architecture experience on Intune MDM.
Implementation and configuration: Install and configure the AirWatch platform, including servers and the console. Create and manage policies, compliance rules, smart groups, and profiles for various device types (iOS, Android, Windows).
Integration: Ensure seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure, such as Exchange, Active Directory, and other network and security systems.
Security and compliance: Implement and enforce security policies, such as those for secure content management and per-app VPNs. Ensure the solution meets industry best practices and regulatory compliance.
Troubleshooting and support: Provide advanced technical support for escalated issues related to AirWatch and mobile devices. This includes troubleshooting issues with agents, applications, email, and device configurations.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including high-level and low-level design documents, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
