This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled tradesperson to contribute to the manufacturing and maintenance operations of our growing business. As a Welder (First Class), you will be responsible for performing a variety of welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks to high standards. What you'll be doing: - Performing high-quality welding and fabrication work to specification (MIG / TIG) - Interpreting drawings to fabricate, assemble, and repair a range of metal components and structures - Operating various workshop equipment such as bandsaws, press brakes, CNC equipment, robotic welders, hand tools. - Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, following all relevant safety procedures - Assembling componentry into finished machinery What we're looking for: - Formal trade qualification as a Welder and a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience - Proven competence in a variety of welding techniques, including including finishing to a high standard (grinding / polishing etc) - Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications - Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills - A willing & happy attitude - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Forklift licence an advantage - Experience operating assembling machinery an advantage, but not necessary - Experience working with mild steel and aluminium materials - Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for visa sponsorship What we offer: - Competitive hourly rate ($40-$50/hr) + overtime - Full-time, permanent role with annual leave entitlements. - Opportunities for training and development, including hands-on mentoring. - A variety of fabrication and assembly tasks to broaden your skills. - Be part of a supportive, growing team in a business with a strong national reputation. - Immediate start available.
