Responsibilities: • Lead forecasting / budgeting process to predict order volumes, and customer demand. • Analyze historical sales data and external market factors to understand demand fluctuations. • Utilize advanced analytical techniques and tools to provide actionable insights that inform business strategies. • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and merchandising teams to refine demand forecasting models. • Develop and implement data governance frameworks and policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance. • Monitor data management practices across departments to promote consistency and accuracy. • Establish data stewardship roles and responsibilities, facilitating a culture of data ownership. • Manage and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. • Encourage innovative thinking and problem-solving within the analytics team. • Partner with various departments, including marketing, operations, and finance, to understand data needs and deliver relevant insights. • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and actionable manner.
Qualifications:
Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on forecasting and data governance, preferably within e-commerce or grocery. • Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices. • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, SAS) and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. • Judgement and decision making: Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
