SummaryAs an Physical Therapist at 1st Americare LLC, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients through tailored therapeutic interventions. This position is essential in supporting our commitment to delivering compassionate and professional home health care.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical abilities, range of motion, strength, posture, and coordination.
- Diagnose physical issues and develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient’s needs.
- Design personalized exercise programs to improve movement and strength.
- Recommend specific techniques or equipment to aid rehabilitation.
- Set realistic goals with patients and track their progress.
- Guide patients through exercises that improve mobility, balance, and strength.
- Provide manual therapy, such as joint mobilization and soft tissue manipulation, to reduce pain and improve movement.
- Instruct patients in posture correction and ergonomic techniques to avoid further injury.
- Teach patients about their condition, treatment options, and the importance of following through with prescribed exercises.
- Advise on lifestyle changes to support recovery, such as diet, posture, and activity modifications.
Qualifications- Valid PhysicalTherapist license in the applicable state(s).
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or home health care setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and case management practices.
- Ability to develop effective treatment plans based on client assessments.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Understanding of physiology and its application in occupational therapy interventions.
- Experience with early intervention strategies is a plus.
- Flexibility to adapt to various client needs and environments.
