Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity Build your Project Management abilities and career in this role, where you will be supporting the delivery of diverse projects across Whangārei and the surrounding Northland region . This is a unique opportunity to join the Beca Project Strategy & Delivery team based in Whangārei . Our teams will be working on some of the region’s most important infrastructure projects , providing you with exposure across education, transport, infrastructure, civil , buildings, water, iwi and community related projects . Ko wai koe | About you In this role, you will have plenty of scope for success . We are looking for a ‘can do’ Project Manager, with a bias for action, who is ready to learn and develop, with a real passion for project delivery and a focus on achieving great outcomes for our clients . You will enjoy working in teams, as well as having responsibility for delivery of your part of a project . You will be a relationship builder, with the ability to collaborate with others on projects, including external stakeholders, clients, contractors, iwi and community groups. Ideally you will have previous experience working in a consulting environment either as a Project Manager, Engineer or in a technical role, and are now looking to move into a delivery role within a professional consulting business . You may have run projects of different scope and scale previously and be ready to take that next step in the complexity and scale of projects you work on . You will also be ready for increased responsibilities across the commercial outcomes of a project. Experience /knowledge of NZS3910 and in contract administration generally would be an advantage, as would experience in Building Consent/ Resou rce Consent processes We have scope to shape our roles for those from complementary backgrounds and invite applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds to consider this role. You will be keen to build credible relationships with our designers, client s , contractors and iwi partners . You will also be passionate about learning from others, ready to listen, engage, support and positively query situations with a focus on great client outcomes. Some travel to Auckland to our Head Office will be required on a periodic basis to enable you to connect to our wider PM team . We also like to have fun along the way, so a good sense of humor will hold you in good stead. The Whangarei office is a relatively small branch with an active social club and out of hours events
