Job Description:
  • Training, a relocation bonus and the adventure of a lifetime awaits you!
  • Open to citizens of UK and Ireland who want to experience life in beautiful Auckland.
  • You must be eligible for a Working Holiday Visa in NZ.
  • October start – enjoy a New Zealand summer!

You don’t need to be a bus driver already, although ideally you will have a heavy vehicle license and commercial driving experience (van, delivery, truck etc). We’ll train you on arrival and help you start a new job with our client, one of New Zealand’s top transport companies.
With stunning beaches, buzzing nightlife, and world-class nature on your doorstep, Auckland offers the perfect mix of city life and outdoor adventure.
Bring a mate, travel on a Working Holiday Visa, and if you love it, you could stay for up to 3 years! WHAT’S ON OFFER?
  • Work in Auckland – a vibrant city surrounded by beaches, mountains and natural scenery.
  • Reimbursed flight to New Zealand – we will provide you with a cash contribution of GBP 850 (NZ$2,000) on arrival to help you on your way.
  • Full paid training – get up to speed with New Zealand road rules and systems.
  • Competitive hourly rate
  • Urban bus routes – drive commuter corridors and metro services, not rural highways.
  • National support – help with everything from training to settling in.
  • Friendly depot teams – you’ll be backed by great leaders and a strong safety-first culture.
  • Visa included – start with a Working Holiday Visa (costs covered*) and explore options to stay up to 6 years.

Our client is one of New Zealand’s largest and most respected public transport companies — and is a name drivers are proud to work for. With over 90 years of experience, the company has built a reputation for putting people first, supporting communities, and creating real opportunities for its team.
Now leading Auckland’s public transport future, they have been awarded the country’s largest-ever bus contract — and are investing in electric vehicles, new depots, and skilled drivers from around the world.
For international recruits, our client offers more than just a job. It’s a supportive, inclusive workplace with full training, national support, and a team culture that helps you settle in and succeed.
Drivers here know they’re part of something bigger — contributing to a safer, smarter, more connected New Zealand.
This is a place to build a career, not just do a job. THE ROLE
  • Operating urban bus services across Auckland’s major commuter routes.
  • Providing safe, reliable, and friendly transport to the public.
  • Being part of a professional, respected team of drivers.
  • Putting safety first – always.

ABOUT YOU
  • Dependable, safety-conscious, and good with people.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a bus driver or commercial driver keen to train as a bus driver.
  • A clear criminal record.
  • A clean driving history.
  • Good health (no major conditions like high blood pressure or heart disease).
  • The ability to obtain a Passenger (P) endorsement in New Zealand.
  • Must be a Citizen of the UK or Ireland.
