Orthopaedic Registered Nurse primarily cares for patients before and after orthopaedic surgery, helping them recover mobility and independence.
Main Responsibilities:Assessing and caring for patients before surgery.Monitoring patients after surgery and managing recovery.Caring for patients undergoing:Total hip replacementsTotal knee replacementsRevision joint surgeryShoulder surgerySpinal surgeryTrauma-related orthopaedic proceduresAdministering medications and pain management.Assisting with wound care and infection prevention.Supporting rehabilitation and early mobilisation.Educating patients and families about recovery and discharge.Maintaining clinical documentation.Working with surgeons, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.Acute or surgical nursing experience.Orthopaedic nursing experience is desirable but not always essential.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Commitment to patient safety and quality carePay: $8,607.00 – $15,900.00 per monthBenefits:
