About SV Retail SV Retail is a London retail chain with 15 stores across London, operating in a fast-paced, transaction-led environment. We focus on a reliable in-store customer experience, strong supplier relationships, and tight control over sales, costs, and stock.Role Summary
Hands-on Accountant to keep core finance processes running smoothly, support month end, VAT and strengthen reconciliations and reporting. Key Responsibilities

• Month-end journals, reconciliations and management reporting (P&L;, balance sheet, cash).
• Bank, supplier and sales/merchant reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances.
• Purchase ledger: invoice processing, supplier statements and payment runs.
• Retail sales and POS/merchant settlement checks; accurate posting of daily takings.
• Support stock accounting (adjustments) and stocktakes.
• VAT support and clear audit trails; assist year-end as needed.
• Continuous improvement of processes, controls and reporting.

What We're Looking For

• Experienced accountant (retail or high-volume transactions preferred).
• Solid understanding of month-end, reconciliations and VAT basics.
• Comfortable with accounting software (e.g., Xero/Sage/QuickBooks or similar) and Excel.
• Organised, detail-focused and deadline-driven.
