Plasterer (Wall and Ceiling)

Key Responsibilities

• Measure work areas and accurately cut plasterboard and other wall and ceiling materials.
• Install and secure plasterboard to walls, ceilings, frames and battens.
• Fit insulation and vapour barriers where required by the project specifications.
• Install corner beads and prepare edges for finishing.
• Apply jointing compounds and finish joins, screw holes and other surface imperfections.
• Sand and prepare plasterboard surfaces to achieve a smooth finish ready for painting.
• Install and complete suspended ceilings, wall linings and related plasterboard systems.
• Follow construction drawings, plans and project specifications when completing work.
• Keep work areas safe, clean and organised and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with builders and other trades to complete residential and commercial projects efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Plasterer (Wall & Ceiling)
• Experience installing and finishing plasterboard walls and ceilings
• Ability to measure, cut and install plasterboard accurately
• Ability to prepare and finish joints, corners and surfaces
• Ability to read basic plans and follow specifications
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant trade qualification is desirable but not mandatory, if that reflects the genuine requirements of the position.

Pay: $77,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year Benefits:
