About The Opportunity

Join Western Sydney University at our Goulburn campus and help shape the next generation of police professionals through teaching, research, and industry engagement.

Based in the School of Social Sciences, this exciting opportunity involves research, teaching and subject development in the undergraduate policing program, delivered to both internal and distance education students aspiring to join the NSW Police Force.

As part of the Applied Policing academic team, you'll deliver integrated curriculum (excluding officer safety, weapons, and driver training), with scope to specialise in areas such as operational policing, criminal law, investigations, ethics, leadership, or community policing.

In this role, you'll apply contemporary teaching methods and digital tools to deliver high-quality, student-centred education across both face-to-face and online platforms. You'll also contribute to curriculum design, peer review processes, and research aligned with modern policing. Industry engagement is a key component, with strong connections to community safety partners helping ensure the course remains practical, relevant, and impactful.

This is a full-time ongoing role based at our Goulburn campus and delivered in partnership with the NSW Police Academy.
