The RoleThis is not a traditional maintenance role.Each Electrical Engineer has full ownership of specific production lines, with responsibility for:

• Uptime
• Performance
• Reliability
• Continuous improvement

You will be expected to eliminate recurring issues, improve systems, and drive measurable results, not just respond to breakdowns. Key Responsibilities

• Take full technical ownership of assigned production lines
• Maximise line uptime and performance through proactive engineering
• Diagnose and eliminate recurring faults using root cause analysis
• Work with PLCs and control systems to optimise machine performance
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, waste reduction, and reliability
• Support production teams in maintaining standards and resolving real-time issues
• Ensure all equipment operates to required food safety and operational standards
• Maintain clear documentation of faults, fixes, and improvements
• Work closely with production and management to deliver output targets
• Lead by example in standards, urgency, and accountability

Requirements Essential:

• Experience working with industrial electrical systems and machinery
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with PLCs and automation systems
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement lasting solutions
• Good level of English (written and verbal)

Desirable:

• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Electrical qualification (e.g. HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent)
