Global Engineering Talent has been appointed as the exclusive search partner to support the delivery of the world’s largest single-site solar power project, based in India. This is a career-defining leadership role on one of the most significant renewable energy programmes ever undertaken globally.
We are seeking a Project Director to provide full lifecycle leadership across design, contracts, construction, and HSSE, ensuring safe, timely, and commercially robust delivery of this multi-billion-dollar EPCM programme.
The RoleAs Project Director, you will hold ultimate responsibility for project delivery, acting as the senior authority interfacing with investors, EPC/EPCM partners, contractors, and internal leadership teams.
Key responsibilities include:

• Overall leadership of a $1bn+ solar power and infrastructure programme
• End-to-end project governance across design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover
• Strategic oversight of contracts, commercial performance, and risk management
• Full accountability for programme schedule, cost, quality, and HSSE performance
• Leadership of large, multidisciplinary EPCM and contractor teams
• Stakeholder management at board, investor, and government interface level
• Ensuring compliance with international standards, local regulations, and best-in-class delivery practices
• Regular travel between Mumbai and site in Kutch

Candidate ProfileWe are targeting senior, battle-tested delivery leaders with a proven track record on mega-scale energy or infrastructure programmes.
Essential requirements:

• 25+ years’ experience delivering large-scale solar power plants and/or major infrastructure projects
• Proven experience leading programmes with a minimum value of USD $1bn
• Strong EPC / EPCM project management background
• Demonstrable experience overseeing design, contracts, construction, and HSSE
• Comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced, high-profile project environments
• Graduate Engineer qualification (minimum requirement)
• Experience working on international or emerging market projects is highly advantageous

• Base location: Mumbai
• Site: Kutch (frequent travel required)
• Contract duration: 2 years (with potential extension)
