- With experience in the Kitchen, being able to follow instructions. You must have contactable phone numbers for a reference.
- Who is confident in their cooking and servicing skills.
- With good communication skills to understand instructions as there is a variety of tasks involved.
We are on the look out for a motivated Cook/Chef to join our dynamic team and help with our increasing business needs at our Sunnyvale based Facility. - Ongoing training and professional development.
- Excellent pay rates + competitive allowance and benefits. ($23.95-$28.00 p/h)
- Certainty of hours through FIXED ROSTERS.
- Permanent PART-TIME role.
- There will be opportunities to pick up additional shifts if desired.
- Based in Sunnyvale, Auckland.
About the Role: - Prepare and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals for our residents
- Cater for special dietary requirements, including texture modified diets
- Bake desserts and cakes for residents’ enjoyment
- Ensure meals are presented attractively and served on time
- Maintain high standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Assist with menu planning in collaboration with management
- Work collaboratively with the care team to meet residents’ individual needs

Hours: - 26 hours per week, which includes one weekend shift
- Flexibility to pick up additional hours to cover staff sickness and leave
About You: - Previous cooking experience (experience in aged care or a similar environment preferred)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Understanding of special dietary needs and texture modified meals
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
- A caring, patient, and respectful attitude toward elderly residents and colleagues
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Food Safety Certificate
- Must have a NZ Residency or a current valid NZ Work Visa
