Job Description:
Young Minds Health and Development Network requires an enthusiastic and passionate speech language therapist to join our thriving private practice. Our need is for speech language therapists who will see children and adolescents, in clinic. There are positions available in all four clinics in Brisbane North and Moreton Bay area, but we are particularly interested in a speech language therapist who will work out of our Redcliffe and North Lakes Clinics. We have a very focused self-care culture, flexible and lots of support with peer supervision, group and individual, with our clinical leads.Young Minds is a busy Psychology and Allied Health Practice that has been operating for 20 years. We have a very good track record and are highly regarded with GPs and Specialists and other service providers. Referrals come mainly from GPs, Paediatricians and NDIS, and through our website. Key Responsibilities:· To provide comprehensive speech and language assessment and intervention services to children and adolescents with diagnosed and subclinical speech language difficulties through the application of the principles of evidence-based best practice, education, leadership, and case management.· Deliver evidenced-based speech language clinical assessment, and written reports when required.· Plan, develop and implement outcome focused individualised treatment plans using a best practice framework with a continuity of care and recovery-oriented approach. Collaboratively involve consumers and carers in all aspects of treatment and treatment planning and provide proactive support to persons with speech language difficulties and their families.· Apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to a more complex clinical caseload under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.· Compilation and presentation of professional development workshops, seminars, and conferences, as required.· Completion of directed speech language training. Requirements:· At least one year of full-time work experience (or part-time equivalent) as a speech language therapist or closely related field in the past five years.· Formal qualifications in Speech Language therapy.· Current registration with Australian Speech Language Association or ability to do so.· Police Check (dated within the last 12 months).· Demonstrated competent level of knowledge, expertise and skill in working with persons with mild to severe speech language problems.· Demonstrated capacity in planning and provision of case management and rehabilitative services using an evidenced-based approach.· Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate service improvement initiatives and provide support/supervision to peers, subordinate personnel and students.If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit your resume.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:
