Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual, or Contractor opportunities available. About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Allied Health Assistant with a minimum of
4 years' experience supporting Allied Health Professionals. You will work closely with Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in clinic, community, schools, homes and via telehealth, assisting with therapeutic programs while ensuring excellent clinical documentation and compliance with NDIS standards. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, outstanding documentation abilities and confidence working independently while following delegated therapy plans. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver therapy programs under the supervision of Allied Health Professionals.
- Assist Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists during therapy sessions.
- Implement therapy programs in accordance with treatment plans.
- Conduct individual and group therapy support sessions.
- Demonstrate and complete detailed pre-session planning.
- Prepare therapy resources and equipment.
- Complete high-quality progress notes and clinical documentation.
- Write professional case notes in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards.
- Assist clinicians with assessment preparation.
- Assist with Assistive Technology implementation and training.
- Monitor participant progress and provide feedback to supervising clinicians.
- Support participants in achieving therapy goals.
- Maintain participant confidentiality.
- Travel to participant homes, schools and community settings where required.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences.
- Maintain accurate records using company clinical software.
- Follow all company policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
Essential Selection Criteria Applicants
must demonstrate: Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (HLT43021 or equivalent)
OR
- Equivalent recognised qualification
Experience Minimum
4 years' experience working as an Allied Health Assistant. Experience supporting:
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Pathology
- Physiotherapy
Experience within:
- NDIS
- Disability Services
- Community Health
- Rehabilitation
- Paediatrics and/or Adult Services
Knowledge & Skills Applicants must demonstrate strong knowledge of:
