The Data Reporting Analyst plays a critical role in gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to drive informed business decisions, collaborating with software development and business teams to translate requirements into actionable insights. Responsibilities: • You will be responsible for adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training. • Design, develop, and optimize reports and dashboards using Sigma Computing • Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from SQL Server and Snowflake • Manage and enhance Snowflake data warehouses for performance, scalability, and security • Following Agile development processes, deliver complexity estimates for new features, and demonstrate proficiency in Agile methodologies. • Collaborate with business and engineering teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions • Deliver middleware support by monitoring and troubleshooting APIs and data flows, automate routine data operations, and enhance data observability. • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards, maintain data accuracy and consistency across reporting solutions, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement. • Implement and maintain DevOps pipelines, enhance ETL and data warehousing processes, monitor report utilization, and automate data extraction and transfer solutions. • Support and troubleshoot data-related issues, optimize SQL queries for performance, assist with QA testing and validation of data solutions, and investigate and resolve defects in reports and data processes, including enhancing database performance as needed. • Produce, maintain and improve the technical documentation for both internal and external audiences, detailing data processes, reporting standards, and technical solutions • Adhere to HealthStream’s standards, processes, and best practices Qualifications: Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or in a closely related role • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis and reporting • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Proficient in SQL Server and relational databases, with at least 3 years of experience in querying, data modeling, and performance tuning • At least 3 years of Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing and data integration • Skilled in SSIS packages, ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data modeling, with 3 years or more of experience. • Experienced in using Sigma for reporting and dashboard creation, with at least 2.5 years of experience. • Knowledgeable about Software Development Lifecycles (SDLC) and experienced in Agile/Scrum environments • Familiar with Azure DevOps or Jira for project management • Strong skills in debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting • Effective team player with strong collaboration skills Preferred: • Cloud Technologies: AWS (data services, cloud integration) • Proficient in Power BI for dashboard and report development, including DAX • Python (data analysis, automation) • Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data visualization) • Monitoring Tools: New Relic, Pendo, Google Analytics • Meticulous attention to detail • Process compliance • Flexibility and tolerance for change • Proactive leadership and accountability • Dedication to a culture of learning and innovation • Drive to continuously assess and improve • Problem solving and critical thinking • Ability to leverage experience and expertise to maximize effectiveness Company: HealthStream provides internet-based learning and research solutions to meet the training, information, and education.
