We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer / Construction Manager to join our growing residential construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating residential construction projects, including house renovations, extensions, loft conversions, garage conversions, and refurbishment works.This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who is passionate about delivering high quality residential projects while ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day site operations on residential construction projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and labour to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards and identify any issues requiring corrective action.
- Liaise with clients, architects, structural engineers, building control officers, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented and maintained on site.
- Prepare and maintain site records, reports, and project documentation.
- Monitor material deliveries and site logistics.
- Support the successful completion of projects within agreed timescales and budgets.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in UK residential construction.
- Proven experience in House Renovations, House Extensions, Loft Conversions, Garage Conversions, Refurbishment Projects
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Construction Management or a related construction discipline.
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and residential construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications
- CSCS Card.
- Experience managing residential construction projects from start to completion.
