Job OverviewScuffs are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, problem solving and being able to think outside the box to find solutions. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Diagnostic Technician will play a vital part in ensuring the workshop operates optimally. Responsibilities- Conduct thorough diagnostics on vehicles using diagnostics and technical manuals
- Utilise hand tools, power tools to carry out assembly and repair tasks.
- Carry out heavy lifting as required to move or install equipment safely
- Assist with equipment assembly, installation, and calibration processes
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status and solutions effectively
- Maintain detailed records of diagnostic procedures, repairs, and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications- Proven experience with diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working within a body shop environment.
- Able to strip and refit vehicle components confidently, contributing to the productivity of the workshop.
- An understanding of ADAS and calibration procedures.
- Module programming.
- Strong auto electrical experience essential.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and workshop equipment.
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- An understanding of HV and Hybrid vehicle systems.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
