Job DescriptionPass the Keys (Reading) is seeking to appoint a Commercial Manager to support the continued growth and strategic expansion of the business. This role is central to driving commercial performance, increasing the property portfolio, and ensuring alignment with franchise objectives.The Commercial Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding relationships with property owners, and exploring new avenues of activity within the short-term and serviced accommodation sector. The role requires a strategic approach to business development, going beyond day-to-day sales functions to support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to expand the company’s portfolio of managed properties
- Build and maintain relationships with property owners, investors, and commercial partners
- Lead on commercial strategy to increase occupancy, revenue, and overall business performance
- Liaise with Pass the Keys (franchisor) to ensure compliance with franchise standards and alignment with wider business objectives
- Oversee the financial performance of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimisation
- Negotiate and agree commercial contracts with property owners and partners
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and Operations Manager to ensure alignment between business development, onboarding, and service delivery
- Monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure commercial targets are met
- Manage risk in commercial decision-making, including contractual obligations and operational scalability
- Prepare financial and performance reports to support strategic planning and decision-making
Skills and Experience- Strong commercial awareness with proven experience in business development and growth strategies
- Experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Ability to negotiate and manage commercial contracts
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to identify and manage business risks effectively
- Experience working in property, hospitality, or a related sector is desirable
Pay: £50,200.00-£50,500.00 per yearBenefits:
