Job Description:
About The Team

The Chiropractic program at Murdoch University, within the School of Allied Health, delivers a combined undergraduate and postgraduate pathway leading to registration as a chiropractor in Australia. The program emphasises evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and patient-centred care, supported by modern clinical and simulation facilities, including diagnostic imaging and clinical skills laboratories.

The Discipline maintains strong links with external clinical partners and an on-campus teaching clinic, providing students with authentic, practice-based learning experiences. This role contributes to teaching across core areas including musculoskeletal diagnosis, orthopaedic and neurological assessment, clinical reasoning and the integration of imaging with clinical findings.

Your New Role!

We are seeking to appoint either a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Chiropractic to contribute to high-quality teaching and research within the discipline, with a focus on diagnostic reasoning, orthopaedic assessment and clinical decision making.

At Lecturer level, you will contribute to the delivery of teaching and the development of scholarly research. You will coordinate and teach units, support student supervision and contribute to curriculum development and discipline activities. This role plays an important part in the delivery of chiropractic curricula, particularly in musculoskeletal diagnosis, orthopaedic assessment and clinical reasoning, ensuring graduates are well prepared for safe, evidence-informed practice.

At Senior Lecturer level, you will take on a broader leadership role across teaching, research and academic service. You will demonstrate a strong and growing research profile, contribute to postgraduate supervision and provide leadership in unit coordination, curriculum development and course-level initiatives. You will play a key role in the strategic development of the chiropractic program, driving excellence in teaching and research and contributing to academic governance within the Discipline.
