Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Telematics Dealer Support Specialist based in Peoria, Illinois, working directly with OEM teams and dealer networks. The Telematics Dealer Support Specialist will serve as the primary support interface between telematics technology, OEM's dealers, and customers. The role involves helping dealers adopt and effectively use telematics platforms, supporting equipment connectivity initiatives, and troubleshooting technical issues related to connected machines. The individual will work closely with dealers, deployment teams, and internal engineering groups to ensure reliable telematics connectivity, assist with equipment enrollment, provide training on telematics systems, and translate dealer feedback into actionable product insights. This role combines technical troubleshooting, dealer engagement, and project coordination to ensure OEM's dealers and customers derive maximum value from connected equipment and telematics data.
Qualifications- Strong Analytical Skills for diagnosing connectivity issues, troubleshooting telematics systems, and resolving technical challenges.
- Experience in Technical Support or Dealer Support roles involving equipment connectivity, telematics systems, or industrial technologies.
- Customer Support and Communication skills to engage effectively with dealers, customers, and internal teams while delivering high-quality support.
- Familiarity with telematics platforms, connected equipment systems, or fleet monitoring technologies is preferred.
- Understanding of data connectivity, machine communication, and basic troubleshooting of hardware or software systems.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and operations teams to resolve issues and improve telematics deployment processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience working with heavy equipment, industrial systems, or dealer networks is a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel periodically to dealer locations or customer sites for training, troubleshooting, and support.
