OverviewWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition.
- Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs such as dementia or hospice care.
- Support clients with mobility challenges, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or care manager.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties as required.
Skills- Experience in dementia care and hospice care is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in behaviour management to assist clients effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently when assisting clients.
- Previous experience in childcare or assisted living settings is advantageous.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial for ensuring client safety.
- A background as a nurse or experience in senior care will be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
