Automotive Technician - Hyundai / Kia Specialist

Location: Western Canada

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $28 - $50 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Automotive Technicians with a background in Hyundai and/or Kia vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, dealership experience, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Hyundai and Kia vehicles
• Use OEM diagnostic tools such as GDS (Hyundai/Kia Global Diagnostic System)
• Conduct inspections and identify mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues
• Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer standards
• Maintain accurate service documentation and repair orders
• Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure workflow efficiency

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working on Hyundai and/or Kia vehicles
• Strong knowledge of engine, transmission, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Experience with OEM scan tools (GDS experience preferred)
• Ability to diagnose complex issues (CAN bus, sensors, modules)
• Valid driver's license
• English communication skills (verbal and written)

Assets (Preferred)

• Hyundai / Kia dealership experience
• Manufacturer training or certifications
• Experience with hybrid or EV systems (e.g., Hyundai/Kia electric platforms)
